Abstract: Some considerable progresses in knowledge management at the level of individuals are set off by a pervasive lack of understanding the specific properties and needs of collective intelligence and of a genuinely learning organization. Here, systemic qualities and emergent properties come into play which still are poorly understood. These exigencies need a new conceptual approach for understanding the dynamics of organizational learning as prerogative for the intelligent organization.
